Oil & Fluid Service in San Jose, CA
Full-synthetic oil changes, OEM-spec filters and fluid exchanges, with a complimentary 50-point inspection.
What an oil and fluid service does
Engine oil keeps moving metal parts from wearing against each other, carries heat away and holds dirt until the filter catches it. As oil ages it breaks down and loses that protection, and the filter fills up. An oil service drains the old oil, replaces the filter and refills the engine with the right grade and amount.
The other fluids in your car wear out too, each on its own schedule. Coolant protects the engine from overheating and corrosion. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. Transmission and power steering fluid break down with heat and miles.
Signs you need it
- Your oil change reminder is on, or the date or mileage on your last service sticker has passed.
- The oil on the dipstick looks dark and gritty, or the level is low.
- You see fresh spots under the car where it is usually parked.
- Coolant sits below the line on the reservoir, or brake fluid has turned dark.
If the oil pressure warning light comes on while you are driving, pull over safely and turn the engine off. An engine running without oil pressure can be ruined quickly. Call us and we will tell you the next step.
Oil change intervals vary a lot between cars. Many newer engines on synthetic oil go longer between changes than older ones did, while short trips, heavy traffic and heat can shorten the interval. Your owner's manual or maintenance reminder has the right interval for your car.
What we do
- Drain the old oil and refill with full-synthetic oil in the grade your engine calls for
- Fit an OEM-spec oil filter
- Check your other fluids, and tell you when an exchange is due by schedule or condition
- Run our complimentary 50-point inspection, so you leave knowing how the rest of the car is doing
Many BMW and Mercedes-Benz engines need oil that carries the maker's own approval. We match the approval listed for your engine, and we tell you the price before we start, since those oils can cost more.

Questions we hear every week.
Do you use full-synthetic oil?
Yes. We use full-synthetic oil in the grade your engine calls for, with an OEM-spec filter. The grade is usually printed on the oil filler cap and in your owner's manual.
Can I bring my BMW or Mercedes-Benz in for an oil change?
Yes. Many European engines need oil with the maker's approval, and we match it to your engine. Those oils can cost more, so we tell you the price before we start.
What is the 50-point inspection?
A look over the rest of the car while it is in the bay, included with oil service at no charge. We tell you what is in good shape and what needs attention, and nothing is added without your approval.
How often should I change my oil?
Follow the interval in your owner's manual or your car's maintenance reminder. Short trips, heavy traffic, heat and towing can call for a shorter interval, and the manual explains which schedule fits your driving.
