Lexus Repair in San Jose, CA
Factory-spec Lexus maintenance and repair, with dealer-level diagnostics and a written estimate before any work.
Why a Lexus specialist matters
A Lexus is built to run quietly for a long time, and it rewards owners who keep up with its maintenance. It also carries more technology than most cars: driver-assist systems, detailed onboard diagnostics and, on some larger SUVs, height-adjustable suspension. Lexus is the L in LTBM. Our certified technicians use dealer-level diagnostic equipment, and we follow the factory schedule for your model.
Common Lexus service needs
These are general patterns, and your owner's manual is the final word for your car.
- Scheduled maintenance. Lexus schedules are typically set in 5,000 or 10,000 mile steps, with bigger services at the larger milestones. We look up the list for your model, year and engine.
- Oil. Most current Lexus engines call for a low-viscosity full-synthetic oil. The exact grade is on the oil filler cap and in the manual, and that is the grade we use.
- Brakes. Lexus models are heavy and tuned to stop quietly, so pads and rotors are regular wear items. Brake fluid replacement is on the schedule too.
- Cooling system. As the miles add up, the water pump, hoses and coolant deserve a close look at each service.
- Suspension. Bushings, struts and, on models that have it, adjustable suspension wear with age and miles.
- Warning lights. A check engine light or dash message gets a proper diagnosis, not a guess.
Factory maintenance that protects your warranty
In general, US federal law lets you have scheduled maintenance done at an independent shop without voiding your factory warranty, as long as the work follows the maker's schedule and specifications and you keep the records. This is general information, not legal advice; your warranty booklet has the details for your car. Warranty-safe factory maintenance is what we do: maker-spec parts and fluids, the maker's schedule, and records you can keep.
